Arnaud Nuyts is Professor at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), where he holds the Chair in Private International Law and also lectures on International Contracts Law and the International Law of Electronic Commerce and Intellectual Property. He is the author of more than 50 articles in Belgian and international journals. He has been commissioned by the European Commission to coordinate a study on the domestic rules of international jurisdiction in the 27 Member States of the European Union. He has appeared as an expert before the European Parliament on the reform of the Judgment Regulation (Brussels I).

Arnaud holds a law degree and a Juris Doctor degree from the ULB as well as a Master of Law (LL.M.) from the University of Cambridge. He has also studied or conducted legal research at the Universities of Columbia, New York and at Harvard. As an Attorney at Law, he has been involved in major arbitration proceedings with parties from civil law and common law jurisdictions.
